Huw Merriman meets new District Council Candidates

7 May 2015 heralds both the General and District Elections. Bexhill and Battle Conservatives will be fielding candidates in every ward for Rother and Wealden District Council and we want to invite you to meet your Conservative Parliamentary and Council Candidates and sitting Councillors.

In Bexhill, Huw met with the District Council candidates for a summit on what we, as new candidates to Bexhill, can deliver with our elected Councillors in the town. In rural parts of Rother, Huw met with new candidate, Emily Rowlinson as they met residents in the local pub. In Wealden, Huw spent time with the District Councillors in Heathfield and new candidates, Bob Bowdler and Roger Thomas as they visited retailers in the town with the Chamber of Commerce. Huw said “As new candidates, we are all incredibly excited to be standing for election on May 7. We want to make sure that as many people will get to meet us and hear what we stand for. I have set up a number of ‘Meet the Candidate’ events across the constituency in order for us to be quizzed by residents. Please come and join us”.
