Knockers Galore— Original Title Fronts Sponsored Walk for Breast Cancer Charity

Two local figures in Pevensey Bay have got together in what they hope will be a major push to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. Dianne Dear, one of the organisers of the event explained that her main motivation was through ‘seeing first hand the effects the illness has had within my own family’.

The event is staged for Sunday 5 September 2010 with a start time of 9:30am.

Three routes are planned. Walkers will meet up in the Castle Inn Pub Car Park, Eastbourne Road, Pevensey Bay and from there take their chosen path to The Star Inn at Norman’s Bay.

Using the original title ‘Knockers Galore’ to front their publicity, the two campaigners aim to raise a significant sum of money. They underline the point that a key element in the day’s planning is to make people better aware of an illness that affects one woman in nine in the UK at some point in their lives.
