Lifeboat Crews Help Stranded Fishing Boat near Eastbourne

A fishing boat was left stranded after it ran aground.

The Coastguard received a call yesterday to the Brian Arthur, which had one person on board, after it became stuck inshore at Pevensey Bay, near Eastbourne.

Both the all weather and inshore lifeboats from Eastbourne were called to the scene but the crews had to wait until high tide at 8pm before they could re-float the vessel. She was then towed into Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne.
