This month The Waterfront at Sovereign Harbour Marina unveils its 2019 summer events programme.

From a pop up food market to a children’s urban beach, live music acts and an outdoor cinema experience, the exciting and diverse range of attractions and activities is sure to appeal to local residents, boaters, visitors and families alike.

Sovereign Harbour Marina looks set to be a hive of activity throughout the year as the events programme will run right through until December, including the following:

Pop Up Artisan Food Market – 11 – 12 May
Celebrating everything that’s great about British food, The Waterfront food market is a collaboration between The Waterfront and Sussex food producers. There will be everything from cheeses, pies, cured meats, jams and chutneys, cakes and pastries, artisan gin, beer and spices, along with food stalls selling authentic fish dishes and Thai and Indian cuisine. Open 9.00 – 14.00 on both Saturday and Sunday, there will be live music from a traditional Peruvian band.

Urban Beach – June – August
A new children’s urban beach will be unveiled in June and will be in situ at The Waterfront for everyone to enjoy over the summer months. A chance for the whole family to get together and experience something new on their doorstep, it will be free to use and open daily from 10.00 – 17.00.

Film By The Water – July
On the evening of Saturday 27th July, The Waterfront will be hosting a Film by the Water event where attendees will be able to watch Bohemian Rhapsody on a giant screen under the stars. A foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary frontman, Freddie Mercury, the film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their hit classics and culminates in their iconic performance at Live Aid.
