If you’ve been following our campaign, here’s a chance to win a prize.  All you have to do is answer the FPBL quiz questions, hand them in next Saturday 20 Feb 10:30am at Pevensey Bay Library and you could win a book by one of these local authors -  Martin Link, Helen Dennis, Mandy Cracknell.  Entry is free and quiz sheets are available in Pevensey Bay—Friends of Pevensey Bay Library (FPBL), 14 February 2016

Do come and support us, let the county council know we want to keep our local library and we want it open sooner rather than later!

It’s been tangled up in legal discussions for months, no plan for repair works in place, and still no opening date in sight.  We believe that residents in Pevensey Bay deserve a better deal than this – do come and show your support on Saturday morning and keep the issue on the council’s agenda!

‘Pevensey Bay Library had to shut its doors due to extensive flooding in January 2015 and remains closed while a full assessment of the building’s condition takes place.’  ESCC Website

So how long does a survey take?  Two months?  Six months?  1year?  18 months?  Forever?

Will the county council and the freeholder ever sort out their differences and get together to re-open the library?  Friends of Pevensey Bay Library will be meeting outside the library on Saturday 20th February at 10:30am for about half an hour to keep the issue alive. We’ll announce the answers to the quiz then, and hand out the prizes for the first three correct answers.

If you want your library re-opened, then please come and show your support.
