Congratulations to the teams behind the ‘Vehicles of Yesteryear’ event yesterday (Saturday 5 April) in the Sea Road car park, here in the Bay.

The event was ably organised by Pevensey Parish Council working in partnership with Wealden District Council, Pevensey Bay Information Centre, Pevensey Library and local traders.

The day has become an important part of the seasonal calendar and we missed it last year because of the weather.

A good splash of various vehicles with some interesting stalls, a real family day out. Great to see lots of people in the Bay and the cafes benefitting from the trade.

Well organised events of this description that are ‘in keeping’ with the spirit of the Bay are not just successful in themselves, they draw attention to the unique attractions that we have to offer and keep us on the map with the local visitor economy.

Event sponsored by MasonBryant, local estate agents who also deserve credit for their involvement with well presented literature that accompanied the proceedings and gave people a keepsake to take home.

Total of over 100 vehicles on display from Morris Minor Travellers to an Austin 7 saloon from 1930. Fabulous.

Good set of photos of the day here, on the Pevensey Bay Facebook page.
