Bay Life favourites, the Voices Choir are busy with an action packed feast of Christmas gigs that stretch all the way into the New Year with plans for schedules that include a new repertoire in the ‘choir term’ that will start on 8/9 January

Talking to Bay Life last Tuesday (26 November), organiser, Diana Terry, told us; ‘Watch out for VOICES choir around Eastbourne and Pevensey Bay over the next few weeks’.

‘As usual, we are busy helping charities to raise funds. Last Saturday saw us in Bexhill singing in support of Junior Diabetes Research, when £612 was raised’.

‘On Saturday 23rd we were at The Afton Hotel, Eastbourne , where all proceeds will benefit Children With Cancer. We will perform for Age UK at the lawn tennis club on 5th Dec’.

‘Everyone is invited to join in with Carols With The Crew at. 2 o,clock on Sun Dec 8th at Sovereign Harbour, where VOICES will be singing along with the crew of the RNLI lifeboat.’

‘Once again we join forces with The Mayor of Eastbourne at his special fundraising concert on 11th Dec at the Wintergardens, and then the highlight of the calendar is VOICES own concert on 13th Dec at Eastbourne Town Hall’.

‘The fundraising target we have set from this performance is a whopping ONE THOUSAND pounds! This will be shared between Alzheimer’s UK and the Chestnut Tree Childrens hospice’.

Rounding off their festive time will be at HOT Christmas on Sunday 14th December at 1.30 outside the Star Inn in Old Town.

Talking about their time in the Bay, Diana said

‘We will certainly deserve our Christmas Party on 18th of December at St Wilfrids, Pevensey Bay.…if you listen carefully, I’m sure you will be able to hear us singing from the Bay all the way to Eastbourne !’

The new VOICES CHOIR term starts 8/9th January (Eastbourne / Pevensey Bay) with an exciting new repertoire to be learned, and much fun and laughter to be shared. There are still a few vacancies for new members at both choirs, especially for DAYTIME voices choir (Thurs 12.30-2.00 Pevensey Bay Baptist Church)’.
