The Diocese of Chichester is encouraging churches to get behind initiatives that promote engagement with the wider communities they serve
‘Transforming Our Communities Together’ is an event taking place this autumn in partnership with Sussex Police and has attracted key speakers including Steve Chalke, UN Human Trafficking Special Advisor and Matt Bird, Chair of 10 Downing St Community Advisory Group.
The event takes place at Windlesham House School, Washington, Pulborough, on Thursday 14th November 2013 at 7.30pm.
Justin Blake, Head of Community Links, Windlesham House says, “Windlesham has been hosting events in partnership with the Police for some years. This event aims to link churches and community groups with Sussex Police in a growing partnership of co-operation to tackle social issues and reduce crime in our area.”
Sussex Police Divisional Commander, Chief Supt Martin Walker, will also be speaking along with Katy Bourne, Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner.
