Questions have emerged about a number of the photographs entered into our local photography competition.

We would like to make clear that the competition is open to local photographers, with the intention of encouraging and embracing the extraordinary talent base of artistic photography that is here.

Whilst we look at the questions that have been raised, we are holding off with the voting stage of the competition until Monday 18 June, when the voting will begin again.

We apologise for the delay in proceeding with the voting stage of the competition and would like to thank everyone that has entered the competition and is interested in the voting stage, which appears to have attracted significant local interest.

The voting stage of the competition will begin again on June 18. We hope that the extraordinary local talent on display will once again excite the kind of interest and comment that has been seen.

Thank you so much to everyone that has entered this competition. The work really is quite extraordinary.

Please note that the entry stage of the competition is closed.
