VOICES CHOIR continues to develop its local profile with a specially commissioned performance put on for the Mayor of Eastbourne, Mike Thompson’s Barbeque!!!
The popular choir which has won the hearts and minds of local folk with their professional production values and spirited community approach to their work, is becoming a mainstay in the musical calendar in Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne where they work their magic.
Choir Director, Diana Terry, on behalf of the the ninety strong team, that is busy preparing for a fully booked Christmas schedule, takes up the story;
“Last Saturday (14 September) VOICES choir from Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne performed at the Mayor’s Barbeque. Despite the rain, a good time was had by all, and the party moved indoors at Chalk Farm when the heavens opened!”
“Most importantly, the Mayor’s two chosen charities “Chloes Fight For Sight” and” Matthew 25″ benefitted from the proceeds of the day. The Mayor was so delighted with VOICES performance, that he has invited them to sing at his Christmas benefit at The Wintergardens on December 11th”.
The choir is urgently still seeking new members for their small daytime group every Thursday from 12.30-2.00 at Pevensey Bay Baptist Church…..new members are also welcome at the evening sessions in Pevensey Bay or Eastbourne.
