Local residents association in contact with Council Enforcement officers

The Timberlaine Road and environs residents association has been in contact with Wealden Council enforcement officers today (23 October).

Talking to their members they say, “you may be aware of tree cutting being carried out on the Caravan Park this morning.

“The trees on the site carry a Tree Preservation Order, they are intended to provide a screen between the properties and the caravans”.

An officer of the association added, “I have had two other residents ask me what is being done on the site and to find if there is any planning application to remove the trees I have been in contact with Wealden Council Enforcement officers.

He added ” the tree specialists are being informed.

“I have also contacted the Caravan Site to inform them of the order and suggested that before they proceed further, they check on the Tree Preservation Order”.

Since their foundation in August 2018, the association has been fighting against what they describe as ‘the overdevelopment’ of the site.
