Pevensey Timeline Association to organise a series of visits to the Keep

The new £19 million facility next to the University of Sussex in Brighton is an archive and historical resource centre which stores, conserves and gives the public access to over 900 years of records relating to the English county of East Sussex and the Special Collections held by the University of Sussex.

Organiser of the events, Timeline Association member, Steve Hancock says, ‘I spoke with someone at the Keep and for groups they prefer to know in advance so that they can ensure a staff member is on hand. They will also set a room aside so the group can chat. The atmosphere is library like so they prefer quiet while in the archive itself’, adding, ‘further, if we let them know of our area of interest they will carry out some preliminary work beforehand’.

First visit is planned for Wednesday pm, 23 July and is open to all members of Pevensey Timeline Association.

More information in the members area of their platform, where you can sign up for weekly updates on what’s happening with the Pevensey Timeline, the project that tells the 2,000 year story of Pevensey and its rich history.
