PAINTING: AUTUMN AT ST. NICOLAS
Postcards for St Nicolas church, Pevensey, just arrived and looking great!—artist, Martin Williamson (Cobbybrook), 24 October 2016

At a raffle of the original painting, held at St. Nicolas Church, Pevensey on Friday (21 October) as part of the fabulous Kings Singers evening, nearly £200 was raised to help the church with the restoration fund in their 800th anniversary.

The original painting has created interest across the community.

As the postcards are prepared for sale there is likely to be further interest in the original painting.

The painting is proving to be of value to the profile of Project 16, the fund raising phase in the 800 year history of St Nicolas Church.

Sales of the sets of postcards are likely to be of interest to both residents and visitors to the historic church and locality.

Talking to Bay Life this morning (October 24), artist, Martin Williamson said that he had prepared “hundreds of them”. The news is likely go down well in the community which will no doubt be waiting with excitement to see when the sets of postcards will be avaialble for sale.
