It’s 950 years since the Battle of Hastings, when King Harold was killed in battle and William the Conqueror would become king. To mark this turning point in English history, we’ve hidden 1,066 arrows at English Heritage places across the country. From 9 June at 10am you can hunt for an arrow at any of our 257 sites on the map, enter the unique code found on the label and win a prize.—Kate Mavor, English Heritage’s chief executive, 9 June 2016

The arrows have been launched into the air and have landed at English Heritage sites across the country, where they are waiting to be found. The Arrow Hunt will end when the last arrow is found or on the 31 October 2016, whichever is soonest.

All arrows must be claimed by entering the unique code online by 31 October. However, as the prizes are date-specific, we recommend you claim your prize as soon as you find your arrow.

The map and arrow count will only change when someone claims an arrow by entering their unique code into the website – it does not reflect the number of arrows that have already been found and not yet claimed.

Find an Arrow and Claim Your Prize

Our map shows how many unclaimed arrows are left at English Heritage sites across the country.
