The article about the company HT White and the purchase of the Beach Tavern that we published on Saturday 30 July was incorrect.

We would like to make clear that the sale of the Beach Tavern has nothing to do with HT White or the Long Man Brewery in any way at all and we apologise for our error in publishing this story.

The story was wrong. We accept that we did not take the appropriate steps to make contact with the company to check the story, before publication.
