Running man, Phil Taylor, co-owner of the Ocean View Bakery in the Bay, is off tomorrow (Friday 10 October) to take part in his next marathon, this time, island hopping to Jersey
Popular Phil, who has now completed over 20 marathons on behalf of the Dystonia Society to raise money for local resident Nikki Whitbread, told Bay Life yesterday (Wednesday 8 October) “Just to let you know I will be off to Jersey on Friday to run the marathon there on Sunday, all for the dystonia society. Me and Mel will be flying over early Friday afternoon and returning on Tuesday, I will let you know how I get on”.
Phil, who has become something of a local legend in his endeavours will be back next week with a report on the race and sums raised, which given his achievements, must now be something of a local record.
