Amazing picture of a caterpillar in November in Pevensey Bay. The rare sight, spotted by local resident Elizabeth, was pictured as we passed by in the Eastbourne Road. She very carefully scooped up the caterpillar from the pavement and put the rare find safely under a bush in an adjoining garden.—Bay Life, 3 November 2016
Talking to Bay Life later Elizabeth told us, “as requested, here is the picture of the caterpillar that we saw on the pavement in Eastbourne Road, Pevensey Bay this afternoon!”
We are willing to bet that this early November will go down in the history books as perhaps the mildest three days on record for this time of the year.
We may be seeing this one in our newspaper, Bay Life the Journal in the coming days!
Many thanks to Elizabeth for taking the time to send us evidence with the photograph, and what a stunning photograph.
