Nice to see the Beach Tavern back on a positive footing after all the changes that have taken place in the last year with leaseholders

Talking to new owners, Tommy Farrell and Caroline Small, was an education and a breath of fresh air today (Friday November 8).

They enthused about plans and an official launch, details of which are most definitely under wraps at present. Nice to see and hear some excitement, with clear community foundations to the shape of things to come.

A renewal of interest in the pub and venue, with a return to traditional family based values and good food, drink and entertainment, could become a winning ticket.

Talking to Bay Life this morning, earlier, brother Jimmy Farrell, confirmed the basis of the plan and what will be a ‘welcome for old and new customers to what will be a well run family pub’.

There was a positive vibe that came from the couple as we talked, and a marked interest in seeing that the Beach Tavern plays a full part in community life in the Bay.

Read our exclusive interview with Tommy and Caroline as part of their official launch day, here in the pages of your favourite community platform.

From this weekend, we showcase what they have to offer with a feature box on our homepage.

Tomorrow night, The Bushman Brothers, regulars to weekends in the Bay, are back, with their own take on life in the fast lane ‘an incredible rock band, an absorbing journey into pure electric guitar melody’.

If the short time spent with Tommy and Caroline this morning is anything to go, with their own’ pure electric melody’, then the new landlords are going to be a difficult act to follow tomorrow night.

A big Bay Life welcome back to the Beach Tavern.
