
Wealden’s election’s team is now accepting applications for postal votes for the Wealden Parliamentary seat in the General Election on 8 June.—Wealden District Council, 26 April 2017
“It’s a busy time for our elections team as we prepare for both the East Sussex County Council Election on 4 May and the General Election,” said Charles Lant, District Returning Officer.
“If you have already registered with us for a postal vote in all elections, you do not need to do anything. We will be mailing out your postal vote packs on 23 May. We will also mail out postal packs to new applications received by 1 May on this day. Postal packs for later applications will be mailed out on 30 May.
“Residents, who may have made holiday or work plans for early June and want to vote in the General Election, will need to apply for a postal vote as soon as possible. The deadline for new applications for postal votes for the General Election is 5pm on Tuesday 23 May.
You can apply for a postal vote in the Wealden Parliamentary constituency on 8 June by either by downloading the Postal Vote application form from the Wealden website. Or contact Electoral Services by telephone 01892 602417 or email elections@wealden.gov.uk and a form will be sent to you. You will find a link to the form on the Electoral Registration & Voting Frequently Asked Questions page on the Wealden website.

“We are doing our best to make sure everyone who applies receives their postal vote in good time – but please: when you receive it, help us by voting and returning the ballot paper in the correct envelope promptly,” said Mr Lant.
The closing date for nominations for candidates for the Wealden Parliamentary seat in the 8 June General Election is 4pm on Thursday 11 May.
