Plant a tree for our future
Sunday 19 March at 11:00–15:00
Pevensey and Westham Recreation Ground

People of all ages are welcome to volunteer their time and labour to help plant up a variety of fruit trees at our community apiary in Pevensey. With the aid of grants from Wealden District Council and Pevensey Parish Council, we are gradually transforming a patch of abandoned land, unmanaged for many years, into a forest garden that can provide fresh, organic, food for the local community as well as becoming an oasis of abundant nature for all to enjoy.

As well as helping us out with the fruit tree planting, we’ll give you a guided tour of our apiary, a short talk about our project and the trees/bees/wildlife on the site, as well as offer some hot refreshments from our rocket stove.

Please gather at 11am in the car park of the Pevensey Recreation Ground (entrance in Wallsend Road). From there we will take people the short distance to the apiary. If yiou can’t make it for 11am, we will have someone available at 12 noon in the car park to bring latecomers to the apiary.

Please wear stout shoes and bring your weatherproof clothing.
