The Parish Council is the first tier of Local Government representing the local community, delivering services to meet local needs wherever possible, helping to make Pevensey Parish a successful, vibrant and attractive place, where people want to live, work and visit. We work closely with many local groups and organisations as well as with Wealden District Council, East Sussex County Council and other agencies.

To qualify a person must be a British subject, over 18 years old and an elector; must reside within the parish or within three miles of it, or occupy as owner or tenant any land or premises therein, or have their principal or only place of work there, and must not be disqualified from holding office as a Councillor.
