GOOD MORNING : 1 day to go and here is the forecast. Whatever the weather the organisers will be on site. If our partners are with us and they can put on a show they will. If we have to retime Events because of the rain we will. We’ll update via social media during the day.

Pevensey Dog Show is to run a competition tomorrow (Sunday 9 June) at the event to be held on the Recreation Ground, Pevensey The well organised event is looking increasingly interesting with an array of different aspects to the Day with something for everyone. Talking to the Pevensey Bay Journal (6 June), the two key organsiers of the event, Shirley MacKinnon and Jayne Howard explained “this event has been six months in the planning”. Posting on their Facebook page today (7 June) organisers detailed the latest offering, a competition to win Sunday Lunch for two at the Priory Court Hotel

Bay Life is to run a live twitter feed through the Day, with the Pevensey Dog Show media partner. The feed will include comment and information as the Day happens.

East Sussex Fire Service have confirmed attendance with Chip Pan Fire Demo, Water Bowser, Badge Making, Fire Investigation Dog, Water Safety Throw Line Demonstration and Pevensey Fire Station will be OPEN. If you’re planning to travel to the Show by bus, Stagecoach Buses have confirmed DOGS WELCOME on buses. For timetables of village services see stagecoachbus.com

The Fire Investigation Dog is coming along as well. The Community Fire Station will be open too for a look round.

The event is getting nearer. Hope you’re all training your dogs for ‘Best Biscuit Catcher’ Class. Latest news: East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service join the event with various interactive activities including a Fire Tender (subject to operational requirements). Please note the Wallsend Road Car Park will be closed on the day but Haven Garage welcome visitors and Pevensey Cattlemarket Car Park will be available.
