SUCCESS FOR Pevensey Bay residents at Society of Eastbourne Artists Christmas Arts Exhibition—Rachers on Canvas, 28 November 2015

Last weekend (21-22 November) saw three local artists enjoying success at Eastbourne Town Hall as visitors braved an early flurry of snow to view the impressive art on display by the SEA (Society of Eastbourne Artists).

Glynis Mockford’s beautiful oil painting “Unusual sky over Beachy Head” was Highly Commended by the Eastbourne Herald.

Alan Everard, sold a watercolour painting “Dusk on the Estuary” featuring some of his iconic barges and Val Racher’s mixed media with gold leaf painting “Seahorses” was bought by the Mayor, Cllr Janet Coles when she officially opened the exhibition on the Saturday morning.

Visitors also had an opportunity to browse a range of craft items as well as the paintings and portfolio pictures on display.

The two day event was well attended throughout and the SEA was pleased to support the Mayor’s charities The JPK Project and Eastbourne Lifeboats.
