COMMUNITY Pevensey Dog Show: Report to Pevensey Parish Council outlines success of first event

BUSINESS New single release from local Pevensey Bay based musician, Peter Barron

PERHAPS THE ability to respond quickly and flexibly to local issues when they arise, is the true test of any council genuinely wanting to work in partnership with local communities—Friends of Pevensey Bay Library, 13 December 2015

We will be meeting on Friday 29 January at the Baptist Church, starting at 7:00pm.

There will be:-

  • report back on the group’s application to list the Beach Tavern as an asset of community value;
  • slide show on how communities can raise funds to purchase community assets by issuing community shares;
  • progress report on setting up a working group to do this in Pevensey Bay;
  • report back on the group’s request to the Parish Council to raise funds via the Public Works Loans Board;
  • discussion about the county council’s proposed reduction in opening hours for Pevensey Bay library (which is in any case closed and will continue to be so over the next few months!)

Tea and coffee will be available. All members and supporters are welcome to attend.
