Fun in the sun….it’s the school holidays
It’s that time of the year, again, when the children are on school holidays and working parents/families have to juggle work with childcare. I’m very lucky that I get to work from home almost every day so at least I can be at home for my daughter, but parents who HAVE TO work are left in a very difficult situation. I say “have to work” because that’s what most parents/families have to do to keep a roof over their heads.
The introduction of 30 hours of ‘free’ childcare for working families is a huge benefit to most working families because it can halve their childcare costs. Are you entitled to claim the 30 ‘free’ hours? It’s worth checking out just in case you are, but you do have to apply by the 31st August to receive a funding code for September… I’ve attached a link for you to check. www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/communications-toolkit/.
At Pevensey & Westham Pre-school parents/families can use their 30hrs funding code with us because we are open for more than 30hrs a week. We’ve had lots of bookings this week for children to start with us in September when we return after the summer break, and because we’re a large Pre-school we’ve got room for even more. Please visit our website www.pwpre-school.uk to book your child’s place and use your 15 or 30hr ‘free’ childcare.
We hope that all the children and families are having great fun in the sun during these school holidays, but please remember to use plenty of sunblock and keep hydrated.
Happy holidays, Nick
