We can’t believe it has been less than two weeks ago since we opened the doors to our new DC1 Cafe & Gallery.—DC1 February 2017

A lovely whirlwind of activities has taken place on 67-69 Seaside Road since Thursday 26 January, when the DC1 Cafe & Gallery was launched.

From a Thursday evening opening exhibition preview, Collective: greater than the sum of the parts to a special visit from Caroline Ansell MP on the following morning, the DC team has been thrilled to show off our great space and art work.

Collective, a specially commissioned exhibition curated by Judith Alder, features fantastic artists from around the South East including Hermione Allsopp, Rachel Cohen, Susannah Douglas, Axel Hesslenberg, Suzanne O’Haire, Liv Pennington, Charlotte Still & Clare Whistler, Victoria Threlfall and Alexandra Valy.

Here are just a few photographs from our exciting first week, taken by Avant Commercial.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the opening a success.

And please continue spreading the word that Devonshire Ward is also a great place to be in Eastbourne for arts and culture.
