New arts group launches in Pevensey Bay 7 January 2019

Talking to the Pevensey Bay Journal, (21 December), organisers of the new group explained the origins of the venture. “Born out of the successful Art, Crafts & Photographs [ACAP] fundraising exhibitions for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, in 2016 & 2017, weekly get-togethers will be held in the New Year”.

Giving credit for the inspiration behind the launch, they said, “the idea stemmed from one of the founder members, Anne Bolland, and was enthusiastically supported by other exhibitors”.

The plan is to launch in the first week in January. The new group will meet at St Wilfrid’s Church Hall, Pevensey Bay, on Monday afternoons 1pm to 4pm.

Organisres are pointing enquiries to a phone link for more information., “new members welcome and enquiries should be directed to Christine on 07817 464020.”

Alternatively, they suggest people can ” just come along when we launch on Monday 7 January”.

They point to the purpose behind the venture ,”emphasis will be placed on having fun with our art & crafts, whatever the medium, and supporting each other as we develop our skills.”
