RETIREMENT LOOMS!
After more than 15 years I have to announce that I will be retiring from the Clerk’s post on 31st July. My successor will be Sarah Mosedale and she is looking forward to working with Council and the wider audience of Pevensey parishioners.

I would like to express my thanks and admiration to all Councillors (past and present!) for their support over the past 15 years and for putting up with my somewhat stroppy advice/instructions where necessary!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and my thanks go to an inordinate number of external organisations and their staff – Roger Bates of WDC Planning and Ian Thomas of PCDL particularly have been a great source of assistance over the years. Eddie Jehu and Fred Ford as preferrred suppliers of fencing and tree surgery have also been hugely helpful – my grateful thanks!

Stephen and I will be continuing our extensive travels next year including trips to Chile and Argentina as well as a month in Italy to improve our Italian language skills.

Please continue to give Council your wholehearted support – it is not an easy (unpaid) job to be a Councillor and pressures from higher levels of government will present future challenges to the local level council.

Thank you

Malcolm
