Local driving school instructor Craig Willson is celebrating this weekend after seeing the beta version of his newly commissioned website taken for a test drive today (Saturday 3 November)

Commenting on what he saw, Craig told Bay Life ‘I am excited about what I have seen because of the simplicity of the way the site operates, it does look very interesting’.

The company contracted to take on the project, Computer Box, based in Brighton, specialises in cutting edge design and the utilisation of open source technology to create web platforms for local companies that can deliver information across key platforms from laptops to iPads and smart phones.

A media release by Computer Box states;

‘The issue with many responsive design platforms is not that they don’t work, but they don’t work across all platforms. Bigger monitors are often taken out of the equation. You get lovely impressions on iPads and smart phones and then something approaching an unholy widescreen mess when you see the project full screen size’.

‘We have utilised the work of a Canadian open source designer, Mike McAlister, because we think his approach to ‘pocket platforms’ that are fully responsive, is amongst the best in the world. What we have aimed to do in customising the project is to see if we can develop something that will work well for a driving school on the move….in Craig’s case, we are calling it a glove pocket platform!’

The new responsive ‘pocket platform’ website with information about the services on offer from the Craig Willson Driving School goes live on Monday 12 November.
