Local artist, Val Racher is to launch and edit a new four page quarterly insert newspaper, titled the Pevensey Bay Art Journal.

The insert newspaper. which will be available free of charge inside the Pevensey Bay Journal, is to launch on Saturday 26 January 2019, under the headline, six degrees of separation.

Looking at news of art groups, local events and exhibitions, the insert newspaper will cover activities from Pevensey Bay, Pevensey, Normans Bay, Stone Cross, Herstmonceux & Wartling to Westham.

Val Racher told us “I want to see local arts celebrated, the insert newspaper will have sections on art groups, events, exhibitions, galleries, workshops and film and photography. A back page section will preview some of the new work that is being talked about in the locality.

She added, “I really believe that art matters in Anderida”.

On her initial editorial page first quarter, Val looks at the work of new rising artist star in Pevensey Bay, Ben Dawson, together with a feature on astro photography.
