All my wages would go on parking

Me and my Mum saw the article about parking charges that might come into Pevensey Bay.

I just wanted to say that I work in Pevensey Bay in a cafe, which I enjoy. I work 7 hours a day at weekends. I earn a small amount.  If I have to pay parking charges, that would be £7 a day, if it is £1:00 an hour. All my wages would go on parking, which would mean I could not do my job.

You don’t know these people. It would be fair enough if they were going to spend the money on the library, but I doubt it.

I do not agree with the possible parking charges and I definitely think other businesses here would be against it.

There are lot of houses round here and they should not have to pay to park outside their houses. If there were permits not just for residents, but people that work here, that would be fair enough.

My first thought when I heard when I saw the article was ‘Oh God’, I am going to have to pay. I don’t mind if they do it, but I would like a permit.

I do care about the the library, because my Mum goes there.

I do not want to have to leave my job, which I enjoy, because I could not afford to come to work.
