Letters-to-the-Editor

Dear Sir

I like the idea of having our own convenient stores and duly believe in supporting them, but unfortunately it’s just become an all day car park with no spaces to ‘Stop and Shop’.

It appears a lot of shop staff and local residents living above the shops are using the spaces for their own convenience without any consideration for other shop owners who need this passing trade to exist.

Come 6pm and you no longer have this problem, gone are the majority of shop workers. Everyday I have to continue my drive and end up in ASDA.

Wealden District Council do nothing to enforce the 2 hour maximum stay though they collect their business taxes without delay.

Yours,

David Cracknell
