Greetings

Grenville is the name of my oldest brother

My father built Grenville Road in the 1930s and the original properties on the road that are still there from that time.

Grenville is the name of my oldest brother. When I was in my teens they started building other homes.

We sold #3 Gremville Road – which I think is now #1 in 1970. I come back to visit the development from time to time. Greatly nostalgic for me as it reminds me of my dear father. If you are interested in more details, please let me know.

Julia (nee Julia Nehra) Strimple. Living in USA now.

Best regards
Julia

EDITOR RESPONSE: Fabulous. Yes we would love to know more about the story. We look forward to seeing as much information as is practicable for you to provide. We will also post your message in our monthly newspaper, which is to be published shortly. Thank you so much.

UPDATE 9 October: Julia Strimple
I look forward to sending you more information and pictures of our life at Pevensey Bay – at 3 Grenville Road from the 1930-1970s. Going to Dallaways the Butcher, Mr Guy the Chemist and Holmans sweet shop on the corner, mustn’t forget the Dairy! I enjoyed going to meet someone who had arrived by train at Pevensey Bay Halt; running across the fields to Pevensey Castle; playing in the ruins of the Martello Tower on the estate; being covered in stones on the Beach so only my head was sticking!
