background—pevensey timeline project
The development of the Pevensey Timeline is currently supported by a grant from the Big Lottery Fund for a period of a year. Articles about the work of the association are available on the project platform, where the timeline itself can also be browsed. The timeline went live six weeks ago and the first group of students in the villages of Pevensey and Pevensey Bay to be tutored are now working live on the project.
The association is currently looking at a variety of sponsorship, promotional and commercial partners, with a view to sustaining the project beyond the goals of the first year. It is hoped that as well as leaving a lasting legacy in the locality, that the project will become a sustainable entity of some description in the coming years. An application to see the project become of charitable status is underway, as well as a number of marketing and promotional activities.
