MAGIC- A KIND OF QUEEN
Thursday 5 June, 7.30pm
Congress Theatre, Eastbourne
Calling all Killer Queens! The sound, spirit and atmosphere of the world’s favourite band, Queen, is celebrated on Thursday 5 June, 7.30pm at The Congress Theatre, Eastbourne. Magic – A Kind Of Queen returns to Eastbourne following an all-too long 4 year absence, as they celebrate 20 years emulating the Queen experience.
Since 1994, the Magic team has dedicated a stage show entirely to the works of Queen, and, over the years, they have honed their act to perfection. Magic don’t try to look like the iconic band Queen, but they can claim to perform their music with amazingly accurate vocals and musicianship.
The talented line-up of musicians, which include five vocalists who back-up the powerful lead vocal of the dynamic Roger Brown, are aided by spectacular lighting and dynamic staging. Whilst never trying to look like a copy-cat Queen tribute, Magic certainly capture the sound and excitement of a live Queen experience and this show promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
Lead singer Roger Brown throws his heart and soul into performing the bands biggest and best loved hits including: Killer Queen, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody and many more; aided by two guitarists, bass, drums and brilliant piano and keyboard player Dave Chapman.
The band are contemporaries of Queen. They first started performing music from the top bands of the day in 1974. Within a few months, Queen went to number one with Bohemian Rhapsody, so the bands music was always an important part of Magic who favoured harmonies and layered instrumentation.
Magic have built an enviable reputation across the world as one of the best Queen tribute bands with live vocals and music creating an uncanny recreation of the world’s favourite rock band.
