MyHealth Mobility has recently launched a new campaign to encourage everyone to make sure their scooter is legal and in tip-top condition ready for the fast approaching spring season.—Myhealth Mobility 13 March 2017
By law, mobility scooters are not required to be taxed or insured, but they are subject to various rules and regulations.
If customers own a class 3 mobility scooter (which can be used on the road up to 8mph) they must register with the DVLA and have the following features*:
- brakes that work
- front and rear lights
- indicators
- hazard lights
- a horn
- a rear view mirror
- an amber flashing (if used on a dual carriageway)
To ensure all customers’ scooters meet these criteria, MyHealth Mobility is offering ‘The Spring Service’. Their team of expert engineers examine every single part of the mobility aid “leaving no screw, switch or stub axle unchecked” and provide a full diagnostic report following the service. Servicing and repairs can be carried out in-store or at the customer’s home address if they would prefer.
‘The Spring Service’ costs £30 for mobility scooters, power chairs and manual wheelchairs. Services can be booked online, in-store or over the phone.
