BREAKING NEWS: Plans for the new Post Office in Pevensey Bay are taking a step forward as news emerges that a provisional date has been set for the enterprise to open, a few doors down from its current location, to 1066 stores, 12 Eastbourne Road on 10 January 2014
Talking to Bay Life yesterday (Tuesday 15 October), co-owner, Suresh Neesarajah, said;
‘We hope it will be January 10 with the old post office closing the day before and then opening here the next day’.
The plan, which has seen widespread approval from the community will confirm the store as a key hub in the Bay, as both a retail and ‘meeting place’ for people whose needs include a daily food shop as well as a point to draw pensions and buy lottery tickets.
The re-opened Bay Diner in the same premises is also doing good trade with its mix of traditional breakfasts, roasts with all the trimmings, and a ‘daily special boards’ for the regulars comprised of an interesting range of tasty dishes.
What we are seeing is the kind of combination that fits the bill for the Bay and the requirements of residents.
The owners, brothers Suresh Neesarajah and Nixon Nickholas, have won credit from local people for their dedication and attention to detail as well as their unique Sri Lankan philosophy of treating every person as if they were visiting dignitaries as the sliding doors gently open to the Premier attraction in the Bay.
