Bright, but bitter cold, anyone would think it is January
Just started snowing in Brighton this morning (9:30am), are we about to snap into a really cold spell here in Pevensey Bay? All the evidence suggests that it is headed our way.Yesterday (Thursday 12 January), rain all day, torrential for a few hours with the Bay Side Diner cafe in the village pulling in their awning, creaking from a mini-flood, drawn back hastily,. Weather turning to somewhat foul sleet. Stationary car windows looking like they were about to frost over, with the rain lifting the temperature a little.
Today there is an an iciness in the air.
Is snow now on the way?
10:00am, sun now just starting to poke through and it is bright, but it is bitter cold. Anyone would think it is January.
