Bill to compensate rail passengers gets second reading
My Bill to deliver automatic and automated rail and air compensation gets its second reading in October. Would transfer comp to bank account without need to know rights or apply.
Tweet: Huw Merriman MP for Bexhill and Battle, 30 September 2018

The Pevensey Bay Journal commented this morning (1 October), ‘this is an intelligent use of Parliamentary time and deserving of local public support. The possibility that this bill may become law, whatever happens with the rail franchises, would be of direct value to all rail travelling passengers. At least the Tories have stopped calling people customers now, there is always hope. Sometimes our local MP gets things right, and this Bill is an example. If Huw Merriman succeeds with this Bill, the new law could become a testament to his work for local people as our MP”.
