COMMUNITY New glass reycling contract for Wealden

BUSINESS New single release from local Pevensey Bay based musician, Peter Barron

On Wednesday 26 April, Wealden District Council is bringing their FREE drop in digital skills event, Coffee, Cake and Computers, to Herstmonceux Village Hall from 10am to 12pm.

These events offer help to anyone looking to boost their computer confidence or wanting help to get online, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with free cake. There’s no need to book, just drop in.

“I encourage anyone who’s unsure about using computers and the internet or feels their skills could benefit from some friendly advice to come along on 26 April. Being able to use computers and the internet confidently are essential to everyday life and can be invaluable in communicating with friends and relatives who live far away. It can also help you shop online to access a whole range of products and much more,” said Marina Brigginshaw, Head of Economic Development.

“Please tell your friends and relatives who might be interested to come along. All levels of ability are welcome and there’s no need to be anxious at all – our staff helping out are friendly and approachable. And you don’t want to miss out on the free refreshments.”

As well as the Herstmonceux event, further Coffee, Cake and Computers are scheduled in 2017 in:

• East Dean – 21 September, East Dean Village Hall, 10am-12pm
• Heathfield – 8 November, State Hall, 10am-12pm

Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptop or tablets but there will also be some tablets available for use on the day.
