Co-ordinated with the help of thousands of volunteers, the event offers free access to properties and events which cast a light on what makes neighbourhoods and communities so special. Buildings of every age, style and function throw open their doors, ranging from castles, gardens, tithe barns, and parish churches. It’s a once-a-year chance to uncover and discover hidden treasure.
