BUSINESS Vines Flowers: Space to hold craft classes

Great fun at rehearsals especially learning the song and dance routines and clucking our hearts out all under Mother Hen’s beady eye

Andy Bennett on behalf of the award winning Haven Players, talking to the Pevensey Bay Journal today (3 January 2019) said, “It’s Panto time again”.

“We’re putting on ‘Red Riding Hood’ by our very own Bob Hammond. We’re having great fun at rehearsals especially learning the song and dance routines and clucking our hearts out all under Mother Hen’s beady eye.

“The Three Little Pigs are being terribly rude about Mr Wolf’s singing and Granny’s cottage in the forest seems likely to fall down at any moment.

“Join in with our Chicken Chorus as they sing some real classics and marvel as your favourite characters sing some surprise numbers. Please join us for an evening of Magic and Mayhem…feathers will fly!”

The local amateur dramatic group is a triple NODA award winner.

NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) has a membership of 2500 amateur theatre groups and 1000 individual enthusiasts throughout the UK, staging musicals, operas, plays, concerts and pantomimes in a wide variety of performing venues, ranging from the country’s leading professional theatres to tiny village halls.

In 2013 the group was awarded best new production in the South East area.

This is the 49th year of the group.
