Jasmin Duffy: Today hasn’t been the best of days
Today hasn’t been the best of days, I broke down on the Normans Bay road next to the campsite. This is obviously a narrow road with little room for two cars passing without the increase in traffic due to the diversion. I spent two hours stuck on the side of the road with my baby, unable to call for help due to phone signal. Luckily a friend drove past and I was able to use their phone and call the AA.
I am truly disgusted at the response from passing vehicles..from shaking their heads at me to shouting ‘not a great place’ rather than stopping to see if I needed help. I was clearly in a distressing situation, I had not chosen to stop there whilst my baby screamed. I understand people may be busy or worried to stop.. but those who were almost abusive and ‘disapproving’ I really hope you are reading this post.
I have always been so proud to live in Pevensey bay..not today—Jasmin Duffy, 2 November 2016

Gas Network Upgrade Diary
Throughout the eight weeks work by SGN and East Sussex Highways to upgrade the gas network in Coast Road, Pevensey Bay, as part of a £624,000 project, we will be offering a diary account of each day based on communications with residents, SGN and East Sussex Highways. We are receiving upwards of 30 communications a day and the choice about what to include for our diary is based on some key points that we see for the day. The diary pieces will appear both online and in our newspaper Bay Life the Journal, issue 6 soon to be available in local newsagents.—Bay Life, 1 November 2016
