A new round of Street Learning begins in October with free courses, offering a series of useful practical skills, open to all Wealden and Eastbourne residents aged 19 or over.
Some of the courses may be helpful to jobseekers or people looking to change careers. They are also the chance to meet new people and take up new interests.

“A full programme of events is taking place at venues in the south of Wealden and Eastbourne.  They can offer a whole new perspective on life,” said Councillor Roy Galley, Cabinet member for Economic Development and Regeneration at Wealden District Council.

“The courses are enjoyable and can provide a confidence booster for those who may not have been involved in education for some time. Street Learning courses can provide the edge when it comes to looking for employment.”

A one-off workshop, IT for Job Seekers will take place at Prospects House, George Street, Hailsham, on Thursday 23 October from 10am to 1pm. The workshop will focus on the IT skills needed for job hunting.
