The pop ups are good, but can you fix them

Dear Sir

I do not mean to criticise what you are doing and I do visit your web platform every few days to see what is going on, but there is one thing that does bloody annoy me, those pop-ups on your page.

I see the use of those pop ups, particularly when they are for information, that is good.

But what I do not want to see is that every time I go back to the homepage, I see the bloody pop up again and I have already seen what has been said.

Couid you do something about that?

Name and address supplied supplied

Editor: Good point. We utilise pop-ups for some key information, to draw attention to particular questions and they seem to work, as we notice that people do go and browse a particular article or question that has suddenly been raised that has relevance to the community.

They are utlised for a maximum time frame of 24 hours

We also utilise the pop up technique for some of our advertising, particularly something that might be taking place in or around Pevensey Bay like an event that evening.

We have now set the pop up to appear once for you. Click in the box that says do not show again and you will only see the pop up once. Since you do not need to see the message again, the pop-up will not appear.

Thank you for raising this point.
