Bexhill and Battle Labour Party begin their campaigning in the locality for the General Election in 2015 with a fair-trade coffee morning at St. Wilfrid’s Church Hall in Pevensey Bay on Saturday 21 June, 10:00am—12noon.

Meet and greet your Labour prospective parliamentary candidate, Michelle Thew, who will be available to answer any questions on issues that may be of concern.

With the General Election due in May 2015, Bexhill and Battle Labour Party have selected leading international charity chief executive, Michelle Thew, to be their candidate.

Michelle topped the ballot of Labour Party members and is now looking forward to contesting the Parliamentary seat, by representing strong Labour values across the constituency.

A globally recognised animal welfare campaigner, Michelle not only has a long career leading national and international voluntary organisations but has also worked in local government, running services for children, families and people with disabilities.

Frequent media appearances on national and international television from Newsnight to BBC Breakfast, ITV to CNN have given Michelle the skills to take Labour’s message across Bexhill and Battle.

Michelle said “I am delighted to have been selected as Labour’s candidate for Bexhill and Battle and I am looking forward to the critical campaign ahead. We have less than 400 days before voters in Bexhill and Battle have the chance to change Britain for the better and build a society that works for all. From now until polling day, I will be working hard to listen to the concerns of residents across the constituency and sharing with them Labour’s positive vision for the future of our country.”
