COMMUNITY Pevensey Dog Show: Report to Pevensey Parish Council outlines success of first event

BUSINESS New single release from local Pevensey Bay based musician, Peter Barron

Interesting to see a new garden business service emerging in Pevensey Bay with such simple and cost-effective publicity—Bay Life, 6 April 2017

Not an original idea we are sure, but nonetheless for the thought and disarmingly appropriate angle on advertising, we award an ad hoc garden box award full of five gold stars to P&S Gardens.

The three steps to garden heaven start with a visit to one of our most popular cafe/restaurants in Pevensey Bay, frequented at this time of year by growing numbers of residents and visitors.

STEP ONE: Go into the Ocean View Bakery and Restaurant in Pevensey Bay and draw up a table.

STEP TWO: There you will see a small bottle with a daffodil poking out of the top. There is a piece of green thread woven around each bottle with a hole punch used to attach a set of business cards to the promotion.

STEP THREE: Simply pull off a business card, just like you are picking a flower, as you enjoy your meal.

How cool and simple is that for a piece of advertising?

Owners at the Ocean Bakery said, “they are our customers and we just wanted to help them out by supporting their promotion”.

IMG_20170407_193251We have no idea at all about P&S Gardens and their services and whether their ‘design, create and maintain, all you garden needs”, is a strapline that fits the bill with regard to what they have to offer, but their names, Sara and Peter are on their cards, so give them a ring (07972279880 / 07779109202) to find out.

Their little splash promotion at the Ocean View Bakery and Restaurant is just lovely.

If their business matches the level of detail in the promotion, then we are wiling to bet that booking their garden services would be a worthwhile phone call.

If this is a new business, then it looks very much like they are off to a good start.

UPDATE: We phoned Peter whose name is on the card and told him that we really liked the promotion. “Thanks for that” he said, “in fact we are based in Normans Bay and have been going for 4 years, we just wanted to do something different because we have never advertised before and thought, given the time of the year, that is what we would do.”
