The first 100 (well 99 to be precise) local votes are in with our tiny straw poll in relation to the EU Referendum Debate.
Locally something unusual has happened. In the first six weeks there was a clear and growing majority of local people saying that they intended to vote for the country to come out of the European Union. Then over the weekend, for the first time, a majority of people said that we should remain in the European Union.
Has what has happened some relationship with the call to save the steel industries in this country? Has the Brexit Campaign faltered? Are there any local factors at work? Simply a coincidence maybe as more local people discover the poll that are more inclined to see us remain in the European Union?
Of course with such a tiny sample of people recording their view, nothing much can be measured in terms of the voting intentions locally, but it is interesting to see how things seem to have begun to swing in favour of the poll showing that remaining in the EU has become a preference.
You can vote here on our homepage in relation to the great EU Referendum Debate. Our poll will stay up on the homepage of Bay Life until the day before the historic Referendum on Thursday 23 June 2016.
