Tickets for the popular Eastbourne Beer Festival, which takes place 9 – 11 October, will be on sale from Friday 4 July at the Eastbourne Theatres Box Office! Following on from the recent Beer and Cider by the Sea which took place last month the Eastbourne Beer Festival is the original indoor festival and will again feature great beers and live music over all sessions.

Last year, over 4200 people flocked to the Winter Garden for the annual Beer Festival and enjoyed 13,616 pints of mouth watering British ales from local breweries and 44 casks of cider! Along with lots of wine and perry!

The Eastbourne Beer Festival offers an array of local brews such as the ‘Star Of Eastbourne’, Beachy Head’s ‘Legless Rambler’, ‘Wobbly Bob’, ‘Monkey Town’, ‘Dragons Blood’ and ‘Plucking Pheasant’. With ales on tap, ciders and perries, world wines, international bottled beers and thirst quenching juices, the festival has something for everyone.

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Tourism and Leisure, Cllr Carolyn Heaps said “We are delighted to host our 12th annual Beer Festival here in Eastbourne and if previous ticket sales are anything to go by, I suggest visitors purchase theirs early to avoid disappointment. The event is a highlight in the Eastbourne calendar and we look forward to welcoming back sponsors, charities, breweries and guests!”

The event takes place in the Winter Garden from Thursday 9 – Saturday 11 October with sessions taking place from 6pm – 11pm Thursday, 5.30pm – 11pm Friday, 11am – 4pm Saturday and 6pm – 11pm Saturday.

Tickets are £5.50 in advance for Thursday, £3 for Camra members and students and £6 on the door. For Friday, tickets are £9 in advance, £7 for Camra members and £9.50 on the door. For ale and brewery fans, why not take the Coast and Country Two Breweries Walk in September, which combines a challenging Downland walk with the delights of two tutored tastings from iconic local brewers Beachy Head and Long Man. Starting at the foot of the Downs, the tour explores the beauty and history of Beachy Head before arriving at the picturesque village of East Dean for the first tasting. Travelling through the village and taking in Friston Forest, the party will break before joining Long Man brewery for ale and education. The events start at 9am on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September. To book a place and for further details contact events@eastbourne.gov.uk
