20:30: Dramatic storms and flash floods recorded late this afternoon across East Sussex. In Pevensey Bay lightning and thunder last thirty minutes, torrential roof thumping rain throughout. Rain eases and then stops about 20:00 as a calm after the storm settles and blue sky begins to appear as once again, the birds start singing.
